Jungle Hospital, Healing Hands Global
July 18-25th, 2026
Est cost:
$1600

Join us on a life-changing mission trip to Honduras, where we will partner with the Jungle Hospital to provide vital medical care to underserved communities. This trip is primarily for medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, and other healthcare specialists, who will help staff the hospital and perform a variety of essential medical procedures. There are also limited spots available for non-medical participants to assist in various ways. On this trip, we will not  be making jungle excursions, but staying at the Jungle Hospital facility to work there.  This is an incredible opportunity to bring hope and healing to those in need while sharing the love of Jesus with the people of Honduras.

PREREQUISITES/REQUIREMENTS:

  • You will need a current tetanus shot before coming to Honduras as well as Hepatitis A & B vaccinations. (You can visit the CDC for a list of government recommended vaccinations (www.cdc.gov/travel). You can print the list and take it to your personal physician and see which vaccines they recommend before traveling.)
  • current passport with at least 2 blank pages
  • required to attend up to 2 pre-trip meetings/trainings (details & prayer)

More about the Jungle Hospital:
Poverty is often a major determining factor in how healthcare is distributed in Honduras. According to the World Health Organization, Honduras has a fragmented health care system leaving approximately 18% of the population without medical care. For every 10,000 Hondurans, there are only 3 medical doctors and 7 nurses or midwives with very few of these healthcare professionals venturing out into the poorest rural areas of the country. The vision of HHG is to partner with the Honduran healthcare system to provide services to the poverty-stricken, rural areas of the country. HHG believes the Cangrejal mountain cove, including Rio Viejo, and the 34 surrounding villages is an epicenter for God to provide spiritual and physical healing to His people. Through the work of missionaries and visiting teams, Rio Viejo and the surrounding villages are being given hope. Medical and dental brigades, visiting practitioners, construction teams, and educational teams, are a vital part of bringing the healing love of Jesus to Honduras.
